Hey dad!!!
Sorry I wasn´t able to call yet... im in Riobamba for the moment cause we just did our RADIO emission!!! it was great! I talked about 5minutes about the history of imigration and multiculturalism in Canada! the others did great as weel, it was hilarious cause everything is all last minute and all that! we were the first and theres 2 more... tomorrow I get the recording of it!!! whooo! anyways. by the way, my pics are up on multiply!! do write me and tell me if you can read my Blog (the english one I had time to update, not the other) and see the pics!!! its really important! right now we´re in San Jose, in dormitories with an organisation called Cordtuch. we´re seperated in two. today is the first community day there, but we had to come back to Riobamba for the radio and now weve like 20minutes for the internet, I HOPE I´ll be able to call in 5minutes cause if now, I wont be in a town with a phone untill friday in Guayaquil I think!!! were really in the campo now (agricultural you know...) so theres cows and roosters and all that! I cant wait to do some work with the community! the people in the campo are a bit more shy, especially the natives, but there are some that are really friendly cause they are used to recieving tourists. They did an imitation of a dance celebration for native festival of their kind of wheat which was fun! we all got to dance!
About tourista... I´ve nothing!!! my cold is almost gone and I feel great! I think I wont get it, weve been having all kinds of wierd food and juices! we had POPCORN in our soup yesturday! this nummy green soop with cheese in it and you put popcorn! its great! ahahah. we eat a lot of rice also... and they feed us SOOO MUCH!!! I get easily winded cause of the altitude though... cant wait to see what its going to be like climbing the Chimborazo friday!!! I got to see a glimpse of it, the peaks are covered with snow!! this morning it was clowdy but not too much, thats why we could see it, cause right now its too late, its cloud-covered the whole time!
Also, my spanish is doing better, ill be fluent by the end of the month for SURE!!! anyways... everything feels like its going soo fast!!! only 10minutes for internet! I hardly have time to load pics or write in my blog or reply my emails!!! I hope Ill get to call you soon! I wanted to today at around 8 to talk to you both... but yeah, we were on the air at 8:30, so no time...
I just bought Hayy Potter and the Filosiphers Stone for 3.25$ (in spanish!) and im going to go have some sweetbread for lunch 10centivos a piece! or maybe a whole lunch of cereal soup and a plate of rice with varios things in it... (like fried bananas... EW!) ahahhaha... its great so far.
anyways, I better go read my other email while I still have the time!
